“ OUR BLESSED HOPE, THE COMING OF THE LORD “

Scripture: Titus 2:11-15

Text: Titus 2:13 “ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  “

Intro: There are three Important Related truths in our text.

1.      Salvation, the beginning of everything for the believer.

2.      Separation, the secret of understanding and having the Lord’s blessing.

3.      Second Coming, our hope for the future.

I.                   A DAY OF RAPTURE

1.      The Rapture was promised by Christ Himself. (Jn. 14:1-3)

2.      The Rapture was promised by Angels. (Acts 1:11)

3.      The Rapture was promised by Paul. (I Tess. 4:13-18)

II.                A DAY OF RESURRECTION. ()I Cor. 15:51-58)

1.      The dead in Christ will be raised 1,007 years before the unbeliever.

2.      The Resurrected bodies will be immortal and incorruptible. .

3.      The burden and fear of death will be gone because of the Resurrection.

III.             A DAY OF REDEMPTION. (Romans 8:18-23)

1.      The body is to be redeemed. (v.23)

2.      Salvation is just the beginning of redemption. (Phil 1:6)

3.      The believer is sealed until the day of redemption. (Eph.1:13;4:30)

IV.             A DAY OF REUNION. (I Thess. 4:15,16)

1.      We will be reunited with the Lord in the air.

2.      We will meet our loved ones who have gone before us.

3.      We will meet the saints of all ages.

V.                A DAY OF REJOICING.

1.      It will be a joy to find that the Bible was right all along. (I Pet. 1:25)

2.      It will be a joy to find that all defeat and failure is over. (Rev.18:14)

3.      It will be a joy to see all that God has prepared for us. (I Cor.2:9)
